A new report, culminating a five-year project, offers greater evidence of the collective benefits of sustainable digital publication and public access to scholarly books.
The joint report found that increased global readership and stronger relationships among libraries, research deans and faculty were all byproducts of digital publication.
The full “Toward an Open Monograph Ecosystem” report can be viewed on the ARL website. Special thanks to the Association of American Universities and the Association of University Presses for their collaborative efforts in publishing this joint report.
