sends our condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Arlington County Police Department Cpl. Barry Foust, who died May 22 following a courageous battle with 9/11-related cancer.

Cpl. Foust, who served the Arlington community for 32 years, was on patrol when American Airlines Flight 77 struck the Pentagon. He immediately reported incident information over the radio, beginning Arlington County's response to the terrorist attack. He remained at the site for a week collecting evidence and remains.
