ጉዳቱን ማረም እውነትን መናገር፣ለራስም ሆነ ለሌሎች ማሰብን ይጠይቃል።

የምዕራባውያን የውጭ ጣልቃገብነቶችን ለመቋቋም የበለጠ ወደፊት የማሰብ ስትራቴጂ ማዘጋጀት ለመጀመር ጊዜው ነው. አሁን ያለው ስትራቴጂ በኢትዮጵያ እና በአጠቃላይ በአፍሪካ ዘላቂ ሰላም ለማስፈን የተሻለ አማራጭ እንዲኖረው ለማድረግ የሚያስችል መንገድ አለ፡ በህዝቡና በመረጣቸው መንግስታት ላይ የበለጠ መታመን።

I totally agree with her excellency, the people are watching and the world leaders must lead by putting humanity first.

Our humanity does not have national boundaries and we should care about the well being of our brothers and sisters beyond our borders; not turning our eyes when see their shed blood nor shutting our ears to their cries of suffering.

We must stop seeing others from a distance for it is easier to forget that they share our humanity.

We have entered into a global world together and if it is to be better, our eyes must meet theirs so we see them as us and as precious human beings.

A healthy society is judged by how it treats the weak and vulnerable among them. These are not only moral decisions of right and wrong, but they are decisions that will bring very real negative consequences or blessings that could iprove the security, peace and well being of those sharing life on this increasingly shrinking planet.

The natural resources of the world are becoming scarcer, but if we act rightly and creatively, we may find new ways to share or new alternatives to replace old ones.

The choices are in the hands of every one of us; not only in the hands of activists.

This is a call for our conscience to guide us; to rise up for the right and for what is just; not only when it suits us!

In my open letter to Prof. Ephrem Isaac from 11 years ago, I stated the following statements:

“Our country needs true mediators, peace-makers and reconcilers; not people who ingratiate themselves to a bully of the people and a manipulator of the democratic process. Our country is bleeding and our people are screaming in silence. They are dying in the streets of our homeland and trying to escape. The land that could be used to produce food for the hungry is being given away to foreign groups for their own needs rather than ours.

Our land has become a place where our songs of peace, joy and happiness are replaced with tears of sorrow and grief. The voices of our playing children have been replaced with their cries or worse yet, the absolute silence that accompanies impending death. Our family of Ethiopians has been divided; with much violence among ourselves. We have become like a community of orphans, lacking elders.

Truth has been lost and there are few seeking to find it. The people who are supposed to uphold the rule of law and protect us are instead misruling, deceiving and oppressing the people. Ethiopia desperately needs true elders who will confront the lies that hold this sham government together; for the well being of the greater family of Ethiopians.

In conclusion, we are only writing to you because we are not giving up on you and your capacity to become the elder that bring hope of a future to our nation. Be the elder who prevents the shedding of blood rather than the elder who prolongs the violence and the suffering. Free Birtukan Mideksa and all political prisoners. Speak to Meles, warning him to change his ways.

May God help each of you be that TRUE elder, who takes his direction from God, rather than from men. If you cannot do this, do not pretend to fulfill that role; even resigning if it is impossible to work under such conditions. Meles is afraid of the people rising up against him, but do not be part of subduing them so that evil is prolonged.

May God give you freedom from fear and intense passion for truth and right. May He remind you that there is no greater loss than losing one’s soul in such times as these. May the people of Ethiopia pray for your strength and courage.

Here is an inserts from my speech to the University of Bahir Dar Graduation Class of 2021 entitled:” Seeking the Source of Genuine Truth and National Reconciliation As the Answer to Our Present and Future Crises”

“Today, I am also humbled to receive the unexpected award of an Honorary Doctorate Degree from this great university. At the same time, I must give much credit to the many others who have helped in the work of the Solidarity Movement for a New Ethiopia (SMNE), of which I am the Executive Director, in its advocacy for human rights, justice, peace and reconciliation for all Ethiopians. This includes my wife and my family, SMNE’s board and members, work colleagues, supporters, friends and those many others who have upheld and spread these principles to others. Thank you!

Most of all, I thank God for his help, guidance and protection. Here, at the source of the Blue Nile, I am reminded that it is God, as Creator, who is the real source of these life-giving waters that provides the majority of water downstream. It can be symbolic of our search for the source of genuine wisdom, truth and knowledge, a great metaphor for a university as it strives to educate and equip its students for their future.

Bahir Dar is at the source of the Blue Nile, a river that starts out serenely and small; yet, since ancient times, its nourishing waters have flowed to many deep and unknown places, descending some 6,000 feet from the highlands of this place, forming mile-high gorges, widening to over 15 miles across as it meets other tributaries and rivers along the way before reaching the Mediterranean Sea, some 2,700 miles from this place.

Perhaps, the Blue Nile can illustrate how important it is to “go to the Source”, our Creator, for his truth, wisdom and direction as to how we should live in relationship to each other and as people of this ancient nation, Ethiopia.

Will we genuinely listen? Will we only pretend to listen? Or, will we block our ears to what we do not want to hear? Think of the Blue Nile, if we pollute it, what will happen to its life-giving properties? If we try to stop the waters, can we succeed or will it flood and overflow?

What are the dangers or consequences of not listening or blocking our ears? Are we now seeing some of the signs and symptoms of a failing system today?

Ethiopia is in a fragile, confusing and unpredictable position because of the ethnic federalism or institutionalized tribalism. We are fighting from within; yet, a body that fights itself, may not survive.

Every generation faces testing; however, the class of 2021 may be facing one of the greatest challenges in recent history. The one possibly to be compared to it would be the time that led to the Battle of Adwa. Ethiopians, at the time, put their differences aside and stood together as citizens of one country, coming together to defend their God-given dignity. Are Ethiopians ready to do this?”

I am grateful and humbled to receive this Honorary Doctorate from the University of Bahir Dar for the work I have done to advocate for the rights and well being of all Ethiopians.

I thank God for His help, guidance and protection over the years and for the acknowledgement of this work. I also thank my wife and my family member, the SMNE board members, colleagues, friends and supporters for their contributions towards this shared work.

This award goes beyond me to the foundational God-given principles undergirding this work from the beginning.

My guiding principles have come from the true and genuine source, our Creator and His enduring truth. It is these principles that have directed this work and may we Ethiopians continue in this direction until Ethiopia becomes a place of human flourishing.

I am honored to join the UBD Class of 2021 in recognizing their great educational achievement at their graduation. Long live Ethiopia!

Tomorrow is Ethiopian’s New Year 2014! I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my fellow Ethiopian citizens and their family a very happy, healthy, peaceful and prosperous Ethiopian New Year! It’s a good time for you to reconnect with your friends and family.

As each of you who were able, celebrated the Ethiopian New Year at home, eating with your family. Don’t forget your greater family of Ethiopia, all the Ethiopian citizens throughout the world.

Remember all our innocent people who are now dying, grieving and suffering throughout Ethiopia as result of uncivilized politics of ethnicity, ethnic hatred, ethnic division, ethnic domination, deception, ethnic favoritism and fake patriotism and fake #ኢትዮጵያዊነት.

Remember the countless internal displaced Ethiopians, the sicks, the beggars on the streets throughout the country, all with their own stories and emotions, the homeless, Ethiopian children with dirty clothes or no clothes at all, walking barefoot and sleeping with no blanket in the streets. Each one of them is our precious people.

As we celebrate this Ethiopian New Year, let the peace-loving people of Ethiopia show love towards each other regardless of their ethnicity; extending especially to the poor, the displaced, the suffering and the needy and valuing the humanity within each of us that is a gift from our Creator.

Caring about the wellbeing of every Ethiopian citizens and abolishing ethnic federalism or institutionalized tribalism is the only way to bring lasting peace, reconciliation, freedom, justice, equality and prosperity to ourselves as we do the same to our neighbor for “no one will be free until all are free.”

If we seek the truth and work hard during this coming year, we could bring about a people’s government based on these life-affirming principles—a government that more genuinely represents the best interests of all of the people. Only then will we have genuine national unity, thrive and become an example of ethnic harmony in this troubled country.

May the Almighty God who created and loves all of us, help us take responsibility to mend our ethnic divisions and to build a healthy and caring society where the beauty of our people can be seen in our many colors, shapes and sizes that fill the garden of Ethiopia.

May God create in us willing hearts to build new bridges between our villages so we can journey together to that New Ethiopia! May this year’s bring you new faith, new hope and new goals!

May you be blessed with good health, love, longevity and prosperity this Ethiopian new year.

እያንዳንዳችሁ የቻላችሁት የኢትዮጵያን አዲስ ዓመት ከቤተሰባችሁ ጋር በመብላት በቤታችሁ አከበራችሁ። በመላው ዓለም የምትገኙትን የኢትዮጵያን ዜጎች ሁሉ ታላቁን የኢትዮጵያን ቤተሰብዎን አይርሱ።

በሰለጠነ የጎሳ ፖለቲካ ፣ በጎሳ ጥላቻ ፣ በጎሳ መከፋፈል ፣ በጎሳ የበላይነት ፣ በማታለል ፣ በብሔር አድሎአዊነት እና በሐሰት አርበኝነት እና በሐሰተኛ #ኢትዮጵያዊነት ምክንያት አሁን በመላው ኢትዮጵያ እየሞቱ ፣ እያዘኑ እና እየተሰቃዩ ያሉትን ንፁሃን ወገኖቻችንን ሁሉ ያስታውሱ።

ስፍር ቁጥር የሌላቸው የውስጥ ተፈናቃዮች ኢትዮጵያውያንን ፣ ጩቤዎችን ፣ ለማኞች በመላው አገሪቱ ጎዳናዎች ላይ ፣ ሁሉም በእራሳቸው ታሪክ እና ስሜት ፣ ቤት አልባ ፣ የኢትዮጵያ ልጆች የቆሸሸ ልብስ የለበሱ ወይም አልባሳት የያዙ ፣ በባዶ እግራቸው መራመድ እና ምንም ብርድ ልብስ ሳይኖር መተኛትዎን ያስታውሱ። ጎዳናዎች። እያንዳንዳቸው የእኛ ውድ ሰዎች ናቸው።

ይህንን የኢትዮጵያን አዲስ ዓመት ስናከብር ሰላም ወዳዱ የኢትዮጵያ ሕዝብ ጎሳውን ሳይለይ እርስ በርሱ ፍቅር ይታይበት ፤ በተለይ ለድሆች ፣ ለተፈናቀሉ ፣ ለችግረኞች እና ለችግረኞች መዘርጋት እና ከፈጣሪያችን የተሰጠውን በእያንዳንዳችን ውስጥ ያለውን ሰብአዊነት ዋጋ መስጠት።

ለጎረቤታችን “ማንም ነፃ አይወጣም” ብለን ለምናደርገው ሁሉ የእያንዳንዱን ኢትዮጵያዊ ዜጋ ደህንነት መንከባከብ እና የጎሳ ፌደራሊዝምን ወይም ተቋማዊ የጎሳ ጎሰኝነትን ማስወገድ ብቸኛው መንገድ ነው። ሁሉም ነፃ እስኪሆኑ ድረስ ”

በመጪው ዓመት ውስጥ እውነትን ከፈለግን እና ጠንክረን ከሠራን ፣ በእነዚህ ሕይወት አረጋጋጭ መርሆዎች ላይ የተመሠረተ የሕዝቦችን መንግሥት ማምጣት እንችላለን-የበለጠ የሕዝቦችን ሁሉ ምርጥ ፍላጎት በእውነት ይወክላል። በዚህ ብቻ ነው እውነተኛ ብሄራዊ አንድነት ይኖረናል ፣ እንበለጽጋለን እና በዚህች በችግር በተሞላች ሀገር ውስጥ የብሄር ስምምነት ምሳሌ እንሆናለን።

ሁላችንንም የፈጠረን እና የሚወደን ሁሉን ቻይ የሆነው አምላክ ፣ የእኛን የጎሳ ክፍፍልን ለማስተካከል እና የአትክልት ስፍራውን በሚሞሉ ብዙ ቀለሞቻችን ፣ ቅርጾቻችን እና መጠኖቻችን ውስጥ የሕዝባችን ውበት የሚታይበትን ጤናማ እና አሳቢ ማህበረሰብ ለመገንባት ሀላፊነት እንድንወስድ ይርዳን። የኢትዮጵያ።

ወደዚያች አዲሲቷ ኢትዮጵያ አብረን እንድንጓዝ በመንደሮቻችን መካከል አዲስ ድልድዮችን ለመገንባት እግዚአብሔር ፈቃደኛ ልብን በእኛ ውስጥ ይፍጠር! ይህ ዓመት አዲስ እምነት ፣ አዲስ ተስፋ እና አዲስ ግቦችን ያመጣልዎት!

በዚህ የኢትዮጵያ አዲስ ዓመት በመልካም ጤና ፣ ፍቅር ፣ ረጅም ዕድሜ እና ብልጽግና ይባርካችሁ።

በድጋሚ እንኳን ለኢትዮጵያ አዲስ አመት በሰላም አደረሳችሁ!

ለሁሉም ዜጎ. አዲስና ሁሉን ያካተተ ኢትዮጵያን ለመገንባት ይህ የእውነት ፣ የመቻቻል ፣ የእርቅ እና የትብብር እርምጃ ዓመት ይሁን።

ጽጌረዳ ጫንያለው

አዲስ አበባ፡- አሸባሪው ህወሓት ቀደም ሲል ለሰው ልጅ ክብር አልነበረውም ። አሁን ደግሞ የህሊናም ክብር ስላጣ ህጻናትን በጦርነት ወደ መማገድ መግባቱን የሰብዓዊ መብት ተሟጋቹ አቶ ኦባንግ ሜቶ አስታወቁ። የዓለም አቀፉ ህብረተሰብ ዝምታ እርስ በእርሳችን እንድንባላ ከመፈለግ የመነጨ እንደሆነ አመለከቱ ።

አቶ ኦባንግ በወቅታዊ ጉዳዮች ዙሪያ በተለይ ለአዲስ ዘመን እንዳስታወቁት፣ አሸባሪው ህወሓት በብዙ ነገሮች መሀል የገባ አይጥ ሆኗል፣ ነገ ምን ይመጣብኛልን ሳይሆን ዛሬን እንዴት ላምልጥ በሚል ሀሳብ ተይዟል። በዚህም የዛሬ መሳሪያው ህጻናቱ ሆነዋል።

ቡድኑ ቀደም ሲል ለሰው ልጅ ክብር አይሰጥም። አሁን ደግሞ የህሊናም ክብር ስላጣ ህጻናትን ወደ መማገዱ ገብቷል። እነዚህ ህጻናት ጠመንጃ እንኳን እንዴት እንደሚያዝ አያውቁም፤ ቋንቋና ስልጠናውም የላቸውም። በአልጠነከረ ጉልበታቸው ከአቅማቸውና ከቁመታቸው ልቆ መሳሪያ እንዲሸከሙ አድርጓቸዋል ብለዋል ።

ከሁሉም የሚከብደው ደግሞ ከሰለጠነው ኃይል ጋር እንዲጋጠሙ መፍቀዱ ነው ያሉት አቶ ኦባንግ ፣ ይህንን ሰብዓዊ ያልሆነ ተግባሩን ለማስቆም አፋጣኝ ሥራ መሰራት እንደሚያስፈልግ አሳስበዋል ።

የዓለም አቀፉ ህብረተሰብ ዝምታ እርስ በእርሳችን እንድንባላ ከመፈለግ የመነጨ እንደሆነ ያመለከቱት አቶ ኦባንግ፤ አሜሪካም ሆነች ሚዲያዎቿ እንዲሁም ሌሎቹ አገራት ከዚህ ቀደም እኛን አባልተው የተጠቀሙት ነገር ስላለ አሁን ያ ስለቀረባቸው በቡድኑ ጫንቃ ላይ ሆነው ስለሚሰሩ ነው። ይህንን ሴራቸውን ደግሞ ራሳቸው ማውጣትና መናገር አይፈልጉም። ስለሆነም የኢትዮጵያ መፍትሄ በኢትዮጵያዊያን እጅ ላይ ያለ በመሆኑ ተረባርቦ ይህንን የሚያደርገውን አካል ማስወገድ እንደሚያስፈልግ አመልክተዋል።

ጉዳዩ አይደለም ሰብዓዊ መብትን እናውቃለን፣ እናስፈጽማለን ፣ጀማሪ ነን የሚሉት ቀርቶ ህጻናቱ በትምህርት የሚያውቁት እንደሆነ ያስታወቁት አቶ ኦባንግ፣ ከዚህ ቀደም ከአሸባሪው ህወሓት ጋር በተያያዘም መንግሥትን ሲወነጅሉ ቆይተው አሁን አላየንም አልሰማንም ያሉት ስላላወቁት ወይም ስላልሰሙት አይደለም። ከችግሩ የሚጠቀሙት ስላለ ብቻ ነው ብለዋል ።

ከአሸባሪው ህወሓት ጋር ባላቸው የቆየ ወዳጅነት የተነሳ በትውልድ ላይ እየፈፀመ ያለውን ወንጀል ማሰማትም አልፈለጉም። ከዚያ ይልቅ ዋና አጀንዳው ቡድኑ ዳግም ህይወት የሚዘራበትን መንገድ ማመቻቸት ነው ። ኢትዮጵያዊያን ይህንኑ እውነት አውቀው በጋራ ለአገር ደህንነትና ለህጻናቱ ነጻነት መስራት እንዳለባቸው አስታውቀዋል።

ህውሓት ለጦርነት ያሰለፋቸው ልጆች የህውሓት ወይም የትግሬ ሳይሆኑ የሰው ልጆች ናቸው፣ የሚደርስባቸው በደል እየታየ ዝም ሊባል አይገባም፤ ሁሉም ሊያወግዘው ይገባል ያሉት አቶ ኦባንግ፣ ህጻናትን በጦርነት መማገድ ከህወሓት የህሊናቢስ ስራ በላይ ተቃውሞ የሚያስፈልገው የሰብዓዊ መብት ጉዳይ ነው። ሰው በሰውነቱ መከበር የሚጀምረው በአቅሙ ልክ ተለክቶ ነው። ህጻናት አቅማቸው ለእንክብካቤ እንጂ ሌሎችን ለማገዝ የጠነከረ አይደለም። ከአቅማቸው በላይ ህሊና የማይፈቅደው ጫና በአሸባሪው ህወሓት መሸከመቸውን ጠቁመዋል ።

ስለዚህም ህሊና ያለውና ሰው ነኝ የሚል ሁሉ ይህንን ድርጊት ማውገዝ ይኖርበታል።

ህጻናቱ የአንድ ሰው ልጆች ሳይሆኑ የኢትዮጵያን ህጻናት ናቸው። ከዚህም በላይ የሰው ልጆች ናቸው። ስለሆነም እየተፈጸመባቸው ያለው ነገር ከቃል በላይ ነው ፣አሸባሪውን ህወሓት ከመደገፍና ካለመደገፍ ጋር የሚያያዝ አይደለም ፣ ሰውን ከመርዳትና ካለመርዳት ጋር የሚገናኝ መሆኑን አምኖ ለእነዚህ ህጻነት መድረስ ያስፈልጋል ብለዋል።

ድርጊቱንም መቃወም ለነገ የሚባል ተግባር መሆን የለበትም። ምክንያቱም ቡድኑ ማንም የሚከተለውና አላማውን የሚደግፍለት ስላጣ እነርሱን ከመማገድ ሊያቆም አይችልም። በተሰለፉት ይብቃ ተብሎ ፍጥነት ባለው መልኩ ለህጻናቱ መድረስ እንደሚያስፈልግ አስታውቀዋል።

ቡድኑ ውጊያዬ ለትግራይ ህዝብ መብት ነው የሚል ሽፋን እንዳለው የጠቆሙት አቶ ኦባንግ፤ የህጻናትን መብትን እንደ ትግራይ መብት አላየውም። የሰው ልጆች መብትም መስሎ እንዳልተሰማው ጠቁመዋል ። የነገዋን አገር ተረካቢ ልጆችን መቅጠፍና መጨረሻውን ለማሳመር መጣር ላይ በመሆኑ በህጻናት መብት ብቻ ሳይሆን በአገር ተተኪ ማሳጣትም ሊጠየቅ እንደሚገባም አመላክተዋል።

እንደ አቶ ኦባንግ ገለጻ፤ ህጻናቱ የሚዋጉት ከተራ ሰዎች ጋር አይደለም። መከላከያን ከሚያክል የሰለጠነ ሠራዊት ጋር ነው። ይህ ደግሞ ትልቅ ህመም እንደሆነ ይታወቃል ያሉት አቶ ኦባንግ ፣ የውጪው ዓለም ዝም ያለው በእኛ ልጆች ቁማር እየተጫወተ ስለሆነ ነው። አሸባሪው ህወሓት የእነርሱ የጦር መሳሪያ በመሆኑ ነው። በእነርሱ ዘንድ ከእኛ ወይም ከእነኛ የሚል ነገር የለም። ከእነርሱ ለእነርሱ ነው ጨዋታው ብለዋል ። በቡድኑ መሳሪያነት ኢትዮጵያን ማጥፋት የእነርሱ አላማ ነው። በቻሉት ሁሉ የሚደግፉትም ለዚህ እንደሆነ አመልክተዋል።

ኢትዮጵያ ሉዓላዊት አገር መሆኗና ራሷን በራሷ ለመምራት መሞከሯ ብዙዎችን አስጨንቋቸዋል። ተቃውሟቸውን ያበዙት በለፉት 27 ዓመታት ሀገሪቱ ሉዓላዊ ብትመስልም በውስጠ ተዋቂነት እያስተዳደሯት ስለቆዩ ነው ። ያንን ዳግም ማምጣት ካልቻሉ የሚቀርባቸው በርካታ ጥቅም አሉ ። ከጫና እስከ መደገፍና እንዲህ አይነት አሰቃቂ ነገሮች ሲኖሩ ደግሞ ተደማጭነት እንዳያገኙ የመሸፋፈን ሥራዎችን ይሰራሉ። አሁንም እየሆነ ያለው ይህ ነው ብለዋል።

ማንም እንዳይገባብን ከፈለግን እያንዳንዳችን የተሰጠንን አገራዊ ኃላፊነት በአግባቡ መወጣት አለብን። ሳንወጣ ጩሁልን ብንል ማንም አይሰማንም። ማባባሻና የእነርሱን ጥቅም ማግኛ መንገድ ነው የሚከፍቱብን። ስለሆነም በውጪዎች ጫና ሳንጨናነቅ ፤ ለምን አልጮሁልንም ሳንል አሁንም በኃላፊነታችን ልክ ሰርተን ኢትዮጵያዊ መፍትሄ ለማምጣት እንረባረብ። በብሔር ወገንተኛ መሆናችንን ትተን ለአገራችን መወገንን እንጎልብት ሲሉም ጥሪ አቅርበዋል ።
