Mark your calendar for the 58th NCDA Legislative, Policy, and Professional Development Conference, taking place in Washington, DC, February 10-12, 2027. Conference registrants are also invited to attend complimentary pre-conference training on IDIS, CDBG, and Financial Management on February 9. To provide continued value for registrants, conference rates remain unchanged from last year.

Professionals seeking an even deeper learning experience may also register for additional higher-level training offered February 8-9. These specialized programs require separate registration and an additional fee.

Register today for the upcoming HOME Basics Online Training and Certificate Course!

This training will run on October 27-November 19, 2026 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:00-4:30 PM EST. There will be an Optional Online Certificate Exam to be completed between the end of class and 7 days thereafter.

We will provide a basic, but comprehensive overview of the HOME program, including information on: the fundamentals of the program, eligible and prohibited activities, general program requirements, program administration, compliance with federal requirements, and much more.

There are just a few more days to register for the CDBG Advanced In Person course taking place in Kansas City, MO from November 12-13, 2026!

This two day class will focus on Advanced CDBG concepts and management. The agenda will include information and discussion on effective program planning, equitable allocation systems, program implementation challenges, leveraging resources and problem solving. The course will be reinforced through in-class exercises, and course participants will receive a training manual, including resource material.

The National Community Development Association (NCDA) is a non-partisan national nonprofit association of more than 500 local governments across the country that administer federally. This initiative supports community development, affordable housing, and economic development programs through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

NCDA members administer HUD Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD) programs: CDBG, HOME, Homeless Assistance Grants, and HOPWA.
