A dog was trapped in a burning car outside a grocery store. When Spokane Valley firefighters approached, the dog retreated to the back of the vehicle to escape the smoke and heat. Its whiskers were singed, but after being given oxygen, it recovered enough to stand up and be reunited with its owner.

A Jeep plunged into a massive sinkhole and flipped upside down, trapping two people underwater with just six inches of air left to breathe. Nobody driving past could even see them. But nearly two miles away, an 18-year-old flying his drone suddenly noticed something strange on his screen.
It happened near Brighton, Colorado, after flooding caused part of a road to collapse, swallowing the Jeep and leaving a couple trapped inside.
18-year-old Josh Logue was flying his drone when he spotted something unusual near the damaged road. Zooming in, he realized a vehicle had fallen into the sinkhole.
Josh rushed to the scene and alerted others. Inside the overturned Jeep, the couple were struggling to survive as muddy water filled the vehicle, leaving only a tiny pocket of air.
Rescuers faced a terrifying challenge. The Jeep was upside down, partially submerged, and difficult to reach.
Using a pickup truck, chains, and tow straps, they worked to lift the vehicle high enough to reach the trapped couple.
Against incredible odds, both were pulled out alive.
Had Josh not spotted that Jeep with his drone, nobody might have known the couple was trapped beneath the road.
