Winter time is the perfect time to curl up with a good book of poems!β˜ƒοΈ Today, we're celebrating the poetry written by our students. Inspired by Nikki Giovani's poetry anthology ""Hip Hop Speaks to Children"", our elementary students created journals filled with original poetry. We love seeing them take on new artistic mediums with such confidence and creativity! ✍🏾

Do you have a favorite poem or story you return to often? Tell us about it in the comments! πŸ—£οΈ

Did you know blowing bubbles is an excellent way to teach kids a variety of science concepts?🫧

It's true! Bubbles can be used to explain surface tension πŸ“Œ (Why do bubbles form and pop?), light refraction 🌈 (Why do rainbows show up on the surface of a bubble?), and air density 🌬️ (Why do bubbles float in the air?) in kid-friendly terms. This is just one of the ways the Fishing School makes science relatable and tangible for our students!
