Build Back Better is an important step forward for child care, but it's critical we center the needs of the people directly involved in and impacted by child care. The Child Care for Every Family Network brings parents & providers together to fundamentally transform child care. Learn more at cc4efn.org

The U.S. economy won't recover until Black women workers do. Creating good union jobs, especially care jobs, is critical to build back better. On July 13 (tomorrow!), we’re joining together to demand Congress take the steps we need to build back better. Join us: https://seiu.co/CareIsEssentia1

Child care workers across the country like Queen are keeping our kids safe and they should be paid fairly for it. Tell your legislators in Congress to support the Act and give all workers a $15/hr floor! http://bit.ly/RaiseWage15

Congratulations!
📣 This victory is proof that there’s power in numbers! 📣
Through the power we’ve built together as a union, we’ve been able to secure better pay and benefits that nursing home workers deserve. Our seat at the table was our opportunity to use our voices. We made our demands clear to employers and now we have better protection to provide top care to our residents and to keep our families safe.
We’ve had each others’ backs this entire time - we’ve supported each other in this fight for fair contracts the same way we’ve supported each other through this COVID pandemic. Together, we've fought and won on the strike line and now we’ll take our fight to the ballot box to win!
📣This is what collective power and strength in numbers looks like!

The child care industry is at just 79% of its pre-pandemic size. We need to support providers and families. "...to hear the stories of providers that have had to close, it’s really heart-wrenching,” said Local 521-CCPU child care provider Nancy Harvey.
The future of the economy hinges on child care
We must bail out the industry that allows millions of parents to work.
