We're so grateful for what has been a spectacular year for American University College Republicans.
As we look forward to next year, President Noah Burke is pleased to announce the results of our 2022-23 Executive Board election, and he thanks our exceptional membership for the success they've brought about for our club this academic year.

Last night, President Biden gave a speech high on leftwing promises and low on actual accomplishments. We're grateful to Governor Kim Reynolds for showing in her response that Republicans around the country have a better plan forward. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

As the United States celebrates 400 years of plentiful harvests and coming together in community, let's gather in the spirit of the generations before us β€” thankful for our families, our friends, our country, our armed servicemen and women, and our time-honored tradition of arguing freely over turkey and stuffing. With a spirit of humble gratitude and abounding joy, our nation and its people will forever prosper. So, from our Executive Board to your living room, Happy Thanksgiving!

On Veterans Day, we're especially grateful for all who chose to wear the uniform and serve, so that we may live in peace. Today, take the time to thank a veteran, reflect on what that service means to you, and remember that freedom always comes at a cost.

Today, we take time to honor the pioneering spirit of explorers like Christopher Columbus and the countless contributions of Italian-Americans to the fabric of our nation. We don't close our eyes to the evil mistreatment of Native Americans at the time, but we also mustn't ignore the boundless achievements that have benefited civilization for centuries. Let us live up to the legacy of our forebears by approaching life with unbridled fascination and curiosity, just as they exhibited when they traversed the world in search of new horizons.

Twenty years on, the pain of 9/11 sticks with us as we remember those who were lost, those who gave their lives to rescue others, and the fallen servicemen and women who gave the last full measure of devotion in combating terrorism in the years since. We will never, ever forget.

Today, as we rightfully celebrated Victory in Japan Day, we were forced to contrast our strategic victory 76 years ago in Japan with President Biden's abject failure in Afghanistan. Senate Minority Leader McConnell had it right: "This debacle was not only foreseeable, it was foreseen." We must return to peace through strength and reject conflict through isolation.

Today and every day, we recognize the abounding sacrifices that our fallen servicemen and servicewomen have given to the cause of freedom. Our long weekend β€” and every single day we live in liberty β€” is made possible because of their valor. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
