Trivia Thursday: Who is the shortest serving Quartermaster of the Marine Corps?
The DD Form 577 and NAVMC 11869 are key supporting documents for logistics audit readiness per MCO 4400.150 "Consumer Level Supply Policy" and CMC message DTG 152105Z SEP 15 "Clarification of DD Form 577 and NAVMC 11869 Requirements." A DD Form 577 must accompany appointment letters for: Supply Officers (SupOs), Accountable Property Officers, Supply Resource Managers, Personal Property Managers, GCPC Approving Officials, GCPC Cardholders, and Fund Holders.
Likewise, a NAVMC 11869 must be used to delegate authority to specific individuals who: sign and receipt for government property and services; turn in excess or damaged government property; or submit purchase requests for supplies or services. For additional details, please refer to the NAVMC 4000.5A, MCO 4400.150, and the CMC message.
