This year's HBCU Braintrust programming will be one for the books!

Day 1 – September 11, 2024:
The HBCU House Kick-Off Event is the opening event for the member’ ALC events.

Day 2 – September 12, 2024:

90-minute HBCU Braintrust session featuring fireside chats with three administration officials:
• Fireside Chat with U.S. Department of Education Secretary Miguel Cardona
• Fireside Chat with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Michael Regan
• Fireside Chat with U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra

Day 3 – September 13, 2024:

The "When Women Lead" luncheon will include a riveting keynote address from Dallas Mavericks’ CEO and published author Cynt Marshall, followed by a panel discussion with HBCU presidents:

*Dr. Roslyn Clark Artis of Benedict College
*Dr. Valerie Kinloch of Johnson C. Smith University
*Dr. Tomikia P. LeGrande of Prairie View A&M University.

The panel will be moderated by Dr. Lisa Herring, President of PROPEL Center.

I stood alongside fellow members of the Bipartisan Historically Black Colleges and Universities - HBCU Caucus to kick off the annual HBCU STEAM Days of Action.
HBCUs deserve strong federal support so they can continue providing top-tier education for the next generation of black engineers, researchers, & scientists. I’m proud to be an advocate for the HBCUs in my district.
