As we close out Mental Health Awareness Month, take a look at how we highlighted mental health at our flagship location! Mental health care is a pillar of the work we do at the Village. It is inherently tied to the basic needs of the women we serve. Visit our blog to read more about our Behavioral Health Services, with insight from team leaders, Adebukola Olufotebi and LaQuarion Bradley: https://www.nstreetvillage.org/updates/meeting-women-where-they-are-mental-health-care-at-the-village/

Earlier this month, volunteers from Deloitte held a wellness event for the women we serve at Bethany Women's Day Center. They created an environment for attendees to care for their minds and bodies with chair yoga, positive affirmations, and delicious snacks. We greatly appreciate the support!

This Mother’s Day, we honor the strength, care, and resilience of every mother and mother figure. We celebrate all women who create connection and support for those around them, while also recognizing that this day can hold many different emotions and experiences.
To all the mothers, and women who nurture others, you are seen, valued, and celebrated.
