We did it! We worked together and raised $19,000! Go Tigers!! With over 60 families contributing to the campaign, as well as great community partners like DC Way and at Compass, we met our goal.

The money raised will support programs like FoodPrints nutrition; our signature arts productions: Spanish Film Club and the Tyler Thespians musical; activities and a trip for our graduating 5th graders; teacher and staff appreciation; gift cards to grocery stores for our families in need; the Kindred Communities program; and other odd and end needs that come up over the course of the school year.

Thank you for the support!

Tyler Family, great news! We’ve need less than $1000 to meet our goal of $15k by February! With three days left in our campaign, I know we can do it!

With over 300 families, even a small contribution, when added up across our community, can make a big dent in this goal. Imagine if each family also asked the grandparents, godparents, or friends-you-wish-were family to contribute as well? Here’s how:
1️⃣Cash App - $TylerPTA
2️⃣Pay Pal Giving Fund (no fees) - paypal.com/us/fundraiser/charity/2284606
3️⃣Check: Make out to Tyler PTA (DM us for more information)

Specific programs that need support include:
🔸 Kindred // Kindred builds trusting relationships among parents and staff of diverse backgrounds and mobilizes them to work together, with school leadership and systems’ leaders, to drive equity and diversity in their schools and communities. We are in our first year of programming at Tyler Elementary School as we build authentic relationships between diverse groups of parents and staff through facilitated dialogue sessions around race and equity.
🔹 // FRESHFARM FoodPrints integrates gardening, cooking, and nutrition education into the curriculum through a model of partnerships, standards-based curriculum, cafeteria connections and food access. Tyler teams with Food Prints expert educators to teach hands-on lessons that get students excited about growing, preparing and enjoying fresh, local whole foods — and bring science, math and social studies to life — with the goal of improving health outcomes of children and families
🔸Signature Arts Productions: Spanish Film Club and the Tyler Thespians musical
🔹Activities and a trip for our graduating 5th graders
🔸Teacher Staff Appreciation
