SOGHR is a student-run non-profit dedicated to the support of student and early career scientists in various aspects of global health.

SOGHR supports essential research and enhances opportunities for global health scientists and interventionists by providing a collaborative platform upon which donors, sponsors, and funding-seekers can build relationships. As we grow, we seek new sponsors as well as new students and new staff. If you are interested in supporting global health research through SOGHR, please contact us.

We're so lucky to have been able to gain the support of so many, that I'm proud to share an initiative I launched to grow our sport has been 'adopted'!
While we'll certainly be back for IMMD in 2022, getting down to business, sponsors, friends, clients, and donors are helping us raise money to increase representation and diversity in sport by supporting coaching and providing scholarships for ~25 athletes to earn 20-80% off their IM-Tulsa registration!!
If you would, spread the word and let's help grow triathlon together!!

Big thanks to the Center for Supporting Diversity in Sport

Life Expectancy In U.S. Drops For First Time In Decades, Report Finds 12/08/2016

Wow, this is an interesting and possibly scary reality. We here at SOGHR wonder if this is a 'penalty'/lag from the extended lives of baby-boomers starting to come through the aging process?

What are your thoughts? Post them here.

Life Expectancy In U.S. Drops For First Time In Decades, Report Finds Overall, U.S. life expectancy dipped in 2015 — the first drop since 1993. That's because the death rate went up between 2014 and 2015, driven by an increase in mortality among people younger than 65.
