and the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) are pleased to announce the launch of the DCRA Insurance Education Center (IEC), another platform to better inform and protect property owners during construction projects.

The IEC arms them with general information to help them navigate the often-complex insurance industry, and empowers them to better identify questions to raise to a professional advisor or insurance professional.

Director is joined by Ethan Landis of Landis Architects | Builders to discuss how to protect neighboring properties when undertaking a construction project.

In Ward 8 on Tuesday, DCRA Director Ernest Chrappah is joined by Ian Callendar of Suite Nation and artist Laurenee Gavin to launch the DCRA Vacant-to-Visual Program to showcase District and regional artists by transforming vacant properties into works of art. Being rolled out to all eight wards, we look forward to beautifying vacant properties until they can be returned to productive use.
