We are proud to announce that the George Washington University’s Honey W. Nashman Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service Center has been recognized with the 2026 Carnegie Elective Classification for Community Engagement!

The University Student Center is filled with festivity and cheer as donors drop off their gifts for the 36th annual Give-A-Gift day!

Thank you to our community partners for working with us! We are excited for the children and families to receive these gifts!

To spread the joy further, we are partnering up with to make handmade cards to give to hospitalized children in DC!

On Saturday, our GW Votes team got the community vote-ready at GW’s annual Vern Harvest! Missed us? Don’t worry because GW Votes is celebrating Vote Early Day in Kogan Plaza TODAY from 11am-2pm with voting resources, stamps, swag, and lots of donuts!

Thanks to our partner for supplying our sweet treats twice in one week! Early voting never tasted so good 🍩💜

As we approach Nashman Center’s 15th anniversary celebration, we wanted to take a walk down memory lane!

Here are some of our fondest memories from our time serving the DC community. We invite you to join us this Saturday, October 25, from 4–6 p.m. in the University Student Center 5th Floor Lobby to share your stories, reconnect with old friends, and create new memories together!

Join us for a GW Votes Ambassador Meeting and help us keep the momentum going for civic action at GW and beyond!

We’ll discuss our campus and D.C. voter participation goals, collaborate on outreach ideas, and take part in a hands-on workshop on community listening. Together, we will shape a culture of civic engagement that listens first, leads with purpose, and makes every vote count.
