Alexandria is proud to welcome the Croatian National Soccer Team as they make our city their home base this summer. To celebrate, join us for a sneak preview of the culture and artistry that makes Croatia so unique. From Monday, May 4 through Sunday, May 10, the Torpedo Factory Art Center will host a special exhibition of Croatian Postage Stamps, presented through the joint efforts of the Croatian Post and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.

Come discover how Croatia tells its story to the world, one stamp at a time.

We are pleased to share an invitation from the Embassy of Croatia to join them for a special cultural event in Alexandria.

The exhibition Philately in Croatia: Postage Stamp – Insignia of National Identity will open on May 4 at 6:00 PM at the Torpedo Factory Art Center. This unique setting carries a subtle connection to Croatian innovation, adding an extra layer of meaning to the evening.

This exhibition marks the beginning of a series of events through which the Embassy will bring Croatian culture to the local community in the lead-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore how postage stamps reflect Croatia’s history, identity, and cultural heritage.

We are delighted to invite our friends to the opening of the exhibition Philately in Croatia: Postage Stamp – Insignia of National Identity, taking place on May 4 at 6 PM at the Torpedo Factory Art Center—a place whose name serendipitously nods to one of Croatia’s famous inventions. 😉

This marks the first in a series of events through which the Embassy will be bringing a taste of Croatia to Alexandria—let’s call it a gentle warm-up for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and for welcoming our Vatreni when they arrive. ⚽

United takes on Orlando City SC, featuring Croatian National Team player Marco Pašalić. Whether you are coming for the match, the community, or the overall atmosphere, it is shaping up to be a great night.

There's a group rallying around Section 124, so if you are looking to connect with others, be sure to grab your seat nearby. We will also be meeting up at a nearby bar before the game to gather and pre-game together. More to come as we get closer to game day.
