Established in 2014, the Senior Care Pharmacy Coalition (SCPC) is a non-profit advocacy organization based in Washington, D.C. dedicated to representing the exclusive legislative and regulatory interests of independent Long Term Care (LTC) pharmacies and the vulnerable patients they serve, an increasing number of which are rehabilitation-oriented.

What a way to wrap up the 2026 SCPC Business Partner Summit on Capitol Hill!

This past week, leaders from across the long-term care pharmacy field came together to deepen our understanding of the many moving parts that make LTCP possible, from the patients and staff at the heart of care to the policies needed to sustain and strengthen it.

Then, we took that knowledge to the Hill, ready to make a lasting impact.

Together, we’re elevating the conversation around long-term care pharmacy and reinforcing the importance of thoughtful policy that allows our providers to continue playing a vital role in caring for our nation’s most vulnerable populations.

SCPC members were on Capitol Hill this week continuing efforts to build support for H.R. 5031/S. 3159, legislation that helps preserve access to the specialized services long-term care (LTC) pharmacies provide to millions of seniors and vulnerable patients nationwide.

As resident needs become increasingly complex, strong collaboration among facilities, pharmacies, clinicians, caregivers and families is more important than ever. Investing in coordinated care can drive support a more consistent and higher standard of resident care.
