Happy 21st Birthday to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Christian of Denmark! 🇩🇰🎉

To mark the occasion, the Danish Royal House has released new official gala portraits of the Crown Prince, who is wearing the Royal Life Guards’ gala uniform for the first time.

The portraits also feature the Grand Commander’s Cross of the Order of Dannebrog, Denmark’s highest rank within the order, awarded to the Crown Prince by His Majesty King Frederik X in connection with his birthday.

Denmark & USA: 225 Years of Diplomatic Ties 🇩🇰🤝🇺🇸

Today, we turn 225.

On October 12, 1801, a young Danish diplomat presented his credentials to U.S. President Thomas Jefferson.

This marked the start of one of the longest unbroken diplomatic relationships in American history.

From that first meeting to today’s transatlantic collaboration in business, science, culture, and technology, this relationship has always run on people.

Hear Ambassador Jesper Møller Sørensen's thoughts on the significance of this anniversary in the video.

Another Danish company has opened its doors in the U.S. 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

This time it is maritime company NACOS Marine, who opened a new office in Florida last week, marking an important step in strengthening its presence within the U.S. market. H.R.H. Brigadier General Prince Joachim gave the opening note, underscoring the importance of this step for Danish-American relations in the maritime and defense industry.

The timing for NACOS Marine' new office couldn't be better. These years, the U.S. is pursuing an ambitious shipbuilding program, scaling up ship production and boosting the maritime industrial base. And Denmark has plenty to offer - proven maritime technology tested at commercial scale, deep naval expertise, and a track record of reliable partnerships in the U.S. maritime and defense space.

By establishing a physical presence in Florida, NACOS Marine is a great example of strong commitment from Danish companies: building local capability, creating jobs, and embedding itself in the American maritime and defense ecosystem rather than exporting from a distance.

Congratulations to the entire NACOS team on this new chapter!

A New Chapter for Arctic Security 🇩🇰🇬🇱🇺🇸

Today, President Donald J. Trump, Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, and Prime Minister of Greenland Jens-Frederik Nielsen signed a landmark agreement to strengthen security across the Arctic and North Atlantic.

“Today, we have signed a good agreement. For Greenland, the Kingdom of Denmark and the United States. And for NATO and Europe. The agreement strengthens our common defence and security. And it is deeply rooted in the NATO Alliance. The agreement acknowledges and respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Denmark and the Greenlandic people’s right to self-determination.” stated Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, about this historic agreement.

From Capitol Hill to Danish Residence, today was about one simple question: How can we build better food systems, together?

This morning, we brought Danish food and agriculture to Capitol Hill for a unique breakfast, hosted together with Representatives Jim Costa, Blake Moore and the Danish Agriculture & Food Council.

A number of members of Congress joined us to explore Danish approaches to food production, safety, organic agriculture, animal welfare, innovation & the role of farmer-owned cooperatives.

The setting was especially meaningful as we celebrate our 225 years of our relations with the U.S. We have maintained the longest uninterrupted diplomatic relations since 1801, a remarkable foundation for the partnership we continue to build today. And the conversation did not end at breakfast.

Later in the afternoon at the Residence, we turned to one of the biggest challenges facing food systems globally: food loss & waste!

A third of the world’s food is lost or wasted. Denmark is working with partners to ask a different question: how can we design waste out of the system?

Our discussion brought together US Representative Chellie Pingree, former Danish Food & Environment Minister Esben Lunde Larsen, Danish Agriculture & Food Council, Novonesis, FOSS & Scholars of Sustenance to explore the role of policy, innovation & partnerships.

From farmer-owned cooperatives to biosolutions, food technology and new ways of using what would otherwise be waste, the message today was clear: better food systems require collaboration across borders, sectors & the entire value chain.

Thank you to all our Congressional, Danish and American partners who joined us around the table today🇩🇰🇺🇸
