The Honorable Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs,Honorable Amadou Sanneh and his delegation to the IMF/ Spring meetings in Washington DC paid a courtesy call to H.E Ambassador Faye and his staff at The Embassy of The Gambia on April 18.
After the usual exchanges of pleasantries and welcoming remarks by Ambassador Faye and Permanent Secretary Lamin Camara,Minister Sanneh thanked the staff and praised their efforts and services for the Gambians.
The Honorable Minister called on all Gambians to come together for the interest of our beloved country and for future generations .
In attendance was also the Charge' D'Affairs at the Embassy,Mr Hamba Manneh.

The Gambia's Chief Justice , Mr. Hassan Bubacar Jallow paid a courtesy visit to The Gambia Embassy in DC.
Mr. Jallow also met some members of the Gambian community in the DMV area, including Ousman Jammeh of Arlington VA, and Ebrima Ceesay ( specialist in Conflict Analysis and Resolution) .

The Gambia's Chief Justice , Mr. Hassan Bubacar Jallow is the Keynote speaker of Georgetown University's 2017 Samuel Dash Conference on Human Rights.
Mr. Jallow is the former Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, and former Chief Prosecutor of the United Nations Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals.
Mr. Jallow also served, in the first Republic, as Attorney General and Minister of Justice.
Mr. Jallow and the panel " will explore the International Criminal Court (ICC)’s role in the developing system of global criminal justice, examining debates and empirical evidence regarding the ICC’s accomplishments, impacts, and legitimacy, as well as challenges confronting the Court and critiques of the Court’s work."

Her Excellency Madam Fatoumatta Jallow Tambajang, accompanied by Ambassador Faye and members of her delegation, paid a visit to Professor Nyang.
Her Excellency brought greetings and well wishes to Dr Nyang from President Barrow, his government and the entire Gambian people. The visit was much appreciated by the Nyang Family.
We pray for Dr. Nyang and thank Mrs. Tambajang and the gambian government for the visit.
Dr. Nyang has a special place in Gambian communities in the USA . He has also always supported The Gambia Embassy in DC.
May The Almighty Give him a strong Health and a long and blessed life. Amen !

The Embassy of the Gambia in DC wishes a safe trip to the team of Lighthouse Medical Missions heading to the Gambia to provide free medical services to local populations.
This non-profit organization based in California and led by Dr. Robert C Hamilton, a Pediatrician international known for his "The Hold" technique to quiet crying babies has been going to the gambia and helping local people for years.
The entire staff of the embassy thanks them on behalf of all Gambians and wishes them a wonderful stay in the Gambia.

The Ecowas Ambassadors paid a courtesy call to Her Excellency Madam Fatoumatta Jallow Tambajang at The Embassy of The Gambia this afternoon, March 29, 2017.
His Excellency Ambassador Stevens, Ambassador of The Republic of Sierra Leone Dean of ECOWAS Ambassadors in DC conveyed gratitude to Her Excellency on behalf of his Colleagues and by extension to President Barrow and the people of the Gambia for what he called " the peaceful nature of Gambians and their political maturity " especially during the recent political impasse in The Gambia. All Ambassadors present took turns to appreciate the way the post-elections crisis was handled .
Her Excellency Madam Fatoumatta Jallow Tambajang, in response, thanked the ambassadors for coming despite their very busy schedules and conveyed to them the greetings of His Excellency President Barrow and the Gambian people. Her Excellency Mrs. Tambajang also thanked ECOWAS Ambassadors for supporting The Gambia in times of crisis.
The entire staff of The Gambia Embassy in DC thanks the ECOWAS ambassadors for their courtesy call.

A Courtesy Call was made to The Gambia Embassy in Washington DC by Her Excellency Madam Fatoumata Jallow Tambajang, Minister of Women's Affairs of the Republic of The Gambia, in the margins of Her Excellency's hectic schedule in Washington DC attending a Conference on Asset Tracing and Recovery. Her Excellency also met with the outgoing Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Africa Affairs of the US State Department, during which issues of mutual interest and concerns were discussed. Along the course of this week, Her Excellency will hold important meetings with strategic development partners in the nation's capital such the US State Department, World Bank, US Congress and various Donor Foundations, to further discuss ways in which the New Gambia's Development Agenda could be supported globally.
Following her participation at the Commission on the Status of Women which was organized by the United Nations in New York, the Minister of Women’s Affairs of The Gambia, overseeing the Office of the Vice-President, Mrs. Fatoumata Jallow Tambajang is in Washington DC to attend a Conference on Asset Tracing and Recovery. H.E. Madam Fatoumata Jallow Tambajang visited the Embassy of The Gambia today, were she met with the staff and encouraged them to work hard. She also held an important meeting with the outgoing Assistant Secretary of the African Bureau at the State Department on matters of mutual interest and concern. During her Sojourn in the nations capital, Mrs. Jallow-Tambajang, will also hold discussions with strategic partners at the State Department, the American Congress, the World Bank and donor agencies to garner support for The Gambia’s development agenda.

Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield is a dear friend to Africa and has a particular relation with The Gambia where she has served as U.S. Consular Affairs Officer. She has been a strong supporter of the Gambian people.
