Yesterday, we promoted our largest class in five years. While we are sad to see them go, we are so proud of their accomplishments and even more proud of what we know they will do in the future. Starting this summer with study abroad trips!

Thanks to Ms. Mendez and her X-Block for raising this money for an amazing organization!

A huge thank you to the 6th grade class at Kelly Miller Middle School for raising $195 for Food & Friends! Your contribution will help make sure our neighbors living with serious illnesses get the nutritional support they need. Thank you!

We've celebrated Black History Month in big and small ways this month. Students have visited the National Museum of African American History and Culture, young women went to see Hidden Figures and there was a viewing of Race about Jesse Owens. Today, was a REAL treat as Jesse Owens' granddaughter came to visit and tell her grandfather's story with memorabilia! Thank you!

DCPS Today: Meet Chancellor Antwan Wilson

So honored to have Duke Ellington School of the Arts to visit Kelly Miller today! There were even some Kelly Miller MS alums in the mix!

The Duke Ellington recruitment tour visited Kelly Miller Middle School today! TDP students were on hand to manage performances from Vocal Music's Show Choir and Instrumental Music's Radical Elite Show Band!

School is OPEN tomorrow! As a part of the DC Public Schools Extended Year Cohort, there IS school tomorrow January 19th. School is closed on Friday, January 20th (for Inauguration Day) and also NEXT Friday, January 27 (for Record Keeping and Teacher PD).

Did you know there were soon be a farm behind Kelly Miller Middle School? Dreaming Out Loud, Inc. is creating it and it will be wonderful for KMMS students and the Ward 7 community as a whole! Check it out!
