Booker: To you. To the average American, it’s $400,000. This is a president with personal lawyers all over his administration.

Sen. KLOBUCHAR: Do you agree with a judge’s ruling that the Constitution doesn’t grant the President any specific powers over elections?

Sen. BOOKER: Why not disclose Trump’s financial obligations to you?

Trump nominee: That money goes to my firm.

Booker: Aren’t you compensated?

Nominee: Yes.

Booker: You’re saying we shouldn’t know about any obligations Donald Trump has to your firm?

Sen. DURBIN: You’re currently serving as Trump’s personal attorney?

Nominee: Yes.

Durbin: You’re the third personal attorney nominated. Why should we trust you?

Nominee: *dodges*

Durbin: Will you recuse yourself from Trump cases?

Nominee, in break from Trump (!!!): Yes.

Sen. WELCH: It’s time to ban partisan gerrymandering, and it’s time to ban mid-decennial redistricting.
