Instead of working the last two weeks of September, Speaker Johnson has sent the House of Representatives home. Why?

Allegedly, to serve the people.

Realistically, so they can run for reelection and attend more fundraisers.

Instead of staying in DC to work on AI regulations, instead of addressing rising costs due to an unconstitutional war in Iran, and instead of fighting back against Trump's attack on the free press, Congress is home. They're focusing on their next term, rather than the job we elected them to do in the first place.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court has temporarily allowed the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to use SAVE, a flawed federal immigration database, to check the citizenship status of people on state voter rolls.

That puts eligible voters at risk of being wrongly flagged and removed from the rolls. It also puts your Social Security number, driver's license number, birth date, and other personal details at risk of a leak.

BIG NEWS --> Yesterday, we joined the to tackle a major corruption problem: gerrymandering.

Gerrymandering corrupts our political system, letting politicians and parties draw districts to their advantage instead of putting voters first.

But Congress won't do away with their safe seats without pressure from the people. It's up to us to reject this corruption, demand politicians work for the people who elect them, and make our voices heard.
