Young Americans for Liberty at American University is proud to announce our Spring 2019 Fundraiser:

Casa Ruby!

For almost 20 years, Casa Ruby has been assisting the LGBTQ+ persons of Washington, D.C. through advocacy, preventative health services, housing, social services, Latino and immigration services, and support for victims of violence. The founder, Ruby Jade Corado, came to the United States as a refugee from El Salvador and sought to bring more success stories to the LGBTQ+ community through advocacy and service. Today, Casa Ruby employs almost 50 people, provides more than 30,000 social and human services to more than 6,000 individuals each year.

Our Mission

This chapter aims to spread the ideas of liberty on campus. We hold a strong core belief in the values of individual freedoms and liberties, asserting that each individual should be empowered to pave their own destiny. We believe in the morality and effectiveness of the free market and seek to educate our campus on its principles. We stand by the ideals of non-interventionism, freedom of speech and expression on campus, and the promotion of effective civil discourse between both sides of the aisle. For our members, we seek to grow and maintain a network of liberty-minded students by providing professional development opportunities, internship opportunities, and discerning speakers.
