CB monitors State child welfare services, as mandated by Congress, to help States and Tribes achieve positive outcomes for children and families through Child and Family Services Reviews, Title IV-E Foster Care Eligibility Reviews, the Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System, and Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System Assessment Reviews. CB’s Child Welfare Policy Manual describes the mandatory policies that are based in Federal law and program regulations. It also provides interpretations of Federal statutes and program regulations initiated by inquiries from State child welfare agencies and ACF Regional Offices. Partnerships

Statistics and Research
Knowledge built through CB programs, data collection, and monitoring efforts is disseminated to the field in statistics, research reports, webinars, and publications to help child welfare professionals improve their services to children and families. T&TA Network
CB provides comprehensive support to States, Tribes, communities, and child welfare professionals through its Training and Technical Assistance (T&TA) Network. Members supply coordinated training, technical assistance, research, and consultation services; build and disseminate knowledge on child welfare issues; and implement strategies intended to achieve sustainable, systemic change.
