Democrats' Sympathies in Middle East Shift to Palestinians A majority of U.S. adults, as well as most Republicans, still sympathize more with the Israelis than the Palestinians. But for the first time, Democrats lean in the other direction.

We are seeing alarming rates of COVID infections in our communities — but have little data to address these concerns since most Arab Americans are categorized as white. This leaves 3.7 million people unable to self-identify, making health care data hard to study.
Infections and deaths in our communities are heavily underreported due to not having this imperative official data. Arab Americans need to have a separate self-identifying classification on government documents including the census.
