We are a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting our local library in Woodridge, Washington, DC.
We hold book sales and other events to raise funds and promote the library's programs.
The new library is now open! There will be a grand opening celebration on Saturday, October 1st at 10 AM. The first Friends of Woodridge Library meeting in the new space will be Saturday, Oct. 8th at 11 AM. Come out to support your new library!
Looking forward to the ribbon cutting on Wednesday, 9/28 for the new library!
Book Sale and Clothing Drive - this Saturday (5/14/16)
On Saturday, May 14th we are having a Book Sale and clothing drive. Please bring any gently used clothing & shoes, bed/bath towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, curtains, tablecloths, hats, mittens, scarves, ties, socks, purses, wallets, backpacks, bags.
NO HOUSEHOLD ITEMS. Place items in plastic bags. No boxes please.
Books and media will also be for sale – we have a wide variety of novels, children’s books, cookbooks, DVDs and more! Most items are $1.00 or less.
We will be in front of St Francis de Sales Catholic Church – 20th & Rhode Island Aves. NE- 10A – 3P. This is our regular meeting date, so there will be no sit down meeting. Hope to see you there!
FWL is meeting this Saturday, November 10th, from 11 AM - 1 PM at the library. We will be preparing for our fall book sale next Saturday.
