Our Monthly Community Food Distribution in action!
Thanks to our supporters, and a special thank you to the volunteers from the Inter-American Development Bank for helping during this distribution day! Through this collective effort, we help ensure that DC families can access fresh food and focus on school, work, and everyday life.

On May 8, we brought together families, staff, and community members for a joyful day of celebration, connection, and fun. Families enjoyed games, a bouncy house, piñatas, gifts, delicious food, and special moments together as we celebrated the important roles children and mothers play in our community.

A special thank you to Friends of Stead Park for helping make this celebration possible. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so special!

El pasado 8 de mayo, reunimos a familias, al equipo de trabajo y a miembros de la comunidad para disfrutar de un día lleno de alegría, unión y diversión. Las familias disfrutaron de juegos, inflables, piñatas, regalos, comida deliciosa y momentos muy especiales mientras celebrábamos el papel importante que las niñas, los niños y las madres desempeñan en nuestra comunidad.

Un agradecimiento especial a Friends of Stead Park por ayudar a hacer posible esta celebración. ¡Gracias a todas las personas que nos acompañaron e hicieron de este día algo especial!

Big news! The Family Place Public Charter School (TFPPCS) is now accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA). This milestone recognizes our commitment to quality, student well-being, and continuous improvement.

At TFPPCS, we support adult learners through high-quality education and provide resources that strengthen families. This accreditation affirms the strength of our model and our dedication to helping our students achieve their personal, academic, and career goals.

On March 9, our Family Support Worker, Idis Argueta, and our Registrar, Lidia Fleitas, participated in the International Women’s Day Diaper Drive, hosted by The Napkin Network, one of our key partners that supports low-income women and their families with diapers, wipes, and baby essentials.

Last week, we commemorated Women’s History Month with our participants from HIPPY and Círculo de Mujeres programs in a day filled with games, activities, laughter, self-care, and sisterhood.

Thank you to Project Pink Tax for donating menstrual products and other essential items that were shared during the event.
