Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, California, is celebrating an incredible milestone for its AVID Seniors! Sixteen seniors proudly signed their Letters of Intent, committing to the colleges and universities they will attend this fall. Together, they earned an amazing 95 acceptances and secured more than one million dollars in scholarships and financial aid.

The school is especially proud of its co‑valedictorians, headed to UC Berkeley and Stanford University. The seniors were also honored at the RIMS AVID Senior Recognition Ceremony, joining thousands of AVID students from across the region. What an unforgettable celebration of hard work, determination, and their bright futures ahead!

We’re proud to celebrate Oneida Nation School’s 93% graduation rate for 2025! 🎓 This achievement reflects the individualized support and multiple academic pathways offered to each student. High School Principal and Athletic Director Artley Skenandore explains:

“When students enroll at the Oneida Nation School, we ask the individual student what their goal is? Beyond the obvious response of graduation, we encourage them to look further and consider what their interests might be in college or a career. BIE students—this opportunity is just for you!

The American Heroes Student Art Contest is now open for grades 3–12, and BIE schools have their own winner category. That means three BIE students—one elementary, one middle, and one high school—can be selected as national winners!

Students may submit an original 2‑D artwork inspired by one of 250 American Heroes and an American art movement. Winners receive a travel allowance to Washington, D.C., to see their artwork displayed on the National Mall during the Great American State Fair and participate in a special award ceremony.

Submissions are open now through June 1, 2026.

Crystal Boarding School wrapped up the year with a fun and energetic new tradition: its first-ever staff vs. students basketball game! The gym was full of cheers as both teams gave it their all. In a lively matchup, the staff claimed the win 27–17. Such a great way to celebrate the end of the school year. We can’t wait for next year’s rematch!
