On May 14, 2014, the National Archives and WAMACH group sponsored a talk by Dr. Kevin Wood, a climatologist from National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration, about his work on the website, www.oldweather.org. His presentation showcased and relayed topics on our Earth's ever changing climate through the use of US Navy and US Coast Guard vessel deck logs. Shown are some photographs from the Greely Relief Expedition, 1881-84, provided by the Naval History and Heritage Command Photographic Section.
