Heretic on the Hill: A National Prayer Service in DC Gets Golden Idol-ed - Secular Coalition for America
You may have missed it but Jesus showed up on the National Mall last week for “Rededicate 250: A National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise & Thanksgiving,” a day-long event of Christian music and mostly evangelical Christian speakers. The stated goal was to rededicate the United States of America as .....

The Secular Coalition for America, Freedom From Religion Foundation, Faithful America, and Interfaith Alliance stood together this weekend to protest the government-funded Christian nationalist "Rededicate America".
We were joined by Goldie the Golden Trump Calf, "Jesus Christ" himself, and speakers from various organizations. It was a great day filled with peaceful protest and support from fellow advocates committed to fighting for our secular democracy.

Join us in person in Washington, DC, this Sunday, May 17th, to take a stand against the Christian nationalist rally "Rededicate 250."
"Rededicate 250: National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise & Thanksgiving” is a slap in the face to our nation's Founders and the constitutional right to church-state separation. This White House-hosted prayer event, taking place on the National Mall, is partly funded by taxpayer dollars set aside for the country’s 250th birthday celebrations. Featured speakers include Secretary of State Marco Rubio, House Speaker Mike Johnson, and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, public officials who have repeatedly promoted Christian nationalist rhetoric in our secular government.
Join the Secular Coalition for America, the Freedom from Religion Foundation, Faithful America, and the Interfaith Alliance for a joint counterprotest opposing the growing push by conservative Christians to impose religion in our government and schools. Link up with like-minded advocates to make a public show of support for state-church separation.
Meet us on the green space at 3rd Street NW between Jefferson Dr. and Madison Dr., close to the Capitol and the Mall, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern on Sunday. Look out for the irreverent 15-foot “gold calf” balloon bearing Trump’s visage
