We are so proud to share some exciting news from our Meridian family! πŸŽ‰

Our Executive Director, Dr. Rikki Hunt Taylor, has been selected as a member of the 2026 Pahara Fellowship, a highly competitive, nationally recognized leadership program that brings together some of the most impactful leaders in public education across the country.

The insights, relationships, and renewed sense of purpose she'll bring back will strengthen everything we do here at Meridian for our students and families.

This honor reflects what so many of you already know: Dr. Taylor shows up for this school and this community with everything she has.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Rikki Hunt Taylor on this incredible achievement. We are beyond proud. πŸ¦‰πŸ’›

Over 100 of you came out to Owl Fest Enrollment Day last month, and we are still smiling about it. πŸ¦‰

Rain and all, our community showed up ready to celebrate. Families enjoyed a 3v3 basketball tournament, a live DJ, line dancing, and free ice cream. And when the day was done, more than 50 families enrolled their children for the 2026-2027 school year, giving us a jumpstart in the season.

Thank you, Meridian. We love having you on campus. New and returning families interested in an open house event can click the link in bio to RSVP today. https://forms.gle/5sRZfuvKVMM4SJw36

Healthy competition still matters. Sports and extracurriculars teach students teamwork, sportsmanship, resilience, and the value of consistent effort β€” lessons that build confidence and character far beyond the classroom. βš½οΈπŸ¦‰

via Middle School Principal Mahon: Day 2 of Teacher Appreciation Week πŸ’›

Yesterday’s Talk of the Ton was all about lifting each other up. Staff took time to write thoughtful notes and cards to one another, small moments of appreciation that carry real weight in the middle of a busy school year.

One of our assistant principal took it even further with a powerful idea: capturing student voices. Students shared what they appreciate about their teachers, and those words were turned into speech bubbles alongside their photos. Watching those messages get delivered - seeing the surprise, the smiles, and the genuine emotion-was something special.

There’s nothing quite like being reminded that the work you do every day matters.

We may β€œmake it look easy,” but moments like this remind us why we do it. ✨
