Character, Excellence, Service 🍎

The Community Council at Center City PCS led a Day of Service focusing on community cleanup.

All hands were on deck as our campuses came together to beautify and clean up debris the Petworth neighborhood.

Service is one of our three core values, reflecting our commitment to giving back, supporting others, and making a positive impact in our community.

Early enrollment at Center City PCS means more than getting a head start on education. It is the foundation of academic success, lifelong relationships, and meaningful experiences.

Many of our students begin their journey in Pre-K 3 or Pre-K 4 and grow with us all the way through 8th grade. Early enrollment gives children the opportunity to build confidence, develop a strong academic foundation, and thrive in a familiar, supportive environment year after year. 🍎

Dr. Jennifer Norton, Director of Multilingual Supports, Alexis Fields, Associate Director of Student Support, and Sharon Maloney, ELD Teacher at Brightwood and District Teacher Leader, led an impactful and engaging session at the 2026 WIDA Annual Conference in St. Louis this week. They led participants through high-leverage instructional strategies that use movement and objects to bring learning to life for multilingual learners who also have IEP’s.

We’re proud to celebrate their leadership and dedication to empowering educators and ensuring every multilingual learner has the opportunity to thrive!
