The Bahamas Embassy is the seat of diplomatic relations between the Government of The Bahamas and the United States of America.

Bilateral relations between the two countries are conducted through its auspices. The Embassy is also the Permanent Mission to the Organization of American States, representing The Bahamas in the premier multilateral forum of the Western Hemisphere. The Embassy is also responsible for relations with Bahamians living in the DC Metro area, and consular work including the processing of passports, visas and other travel and identification documents.

On 27 February 2026, the Embassy of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in Washington, D.C. and the Bahamas Consulate General in Miami, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Investments and Aviation, hosted the third Bahamas Business and Investment Forum at The Belgrove Resort & Spa in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The Forum convened senior government officials, investors, and industry leaders to explore opportunities in tourism, financial services, digital innovation, and investment in The Bahamas.
