OFM serves the interests of the American public, the American diplomatic community abroad, and the foreign mission community in the United States.

Another successful DEMYSTIFYING THE PROCESS event!

OFM welcomed 200 representatives from 152 diplomatic missions to the Foreign Missions Center for a presentation on Employment Authorization Documents (EAD). The session responded to significant demand from the diplomatic community, and provided attendees with comprehensive resources and application information to facilitate the EAD process.

OFM Houston is assisting Arkansas to reach growing global markets and create economic opportunities for the Natural State by connecting them with key foreign missions and trade offices in Texas. At a recent networking event for the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, OFM provided guidance and facilitated contact with foreign missions, many of whom where meeting with Arkansas state officials for the first time. OFM is helping FIFA host cities with their preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Recently OFM Chicago coordinated briefings for public safety and law enforcement agencies and 200+ participants from the greater Kansas City area to help prepare them for the unprecedented number of international visitors that are expected next year.

From motorcades to secure facilities, our special agents and security professionals are on the ground ensuring the safety of U.S. diplomats, foreign dignitaries, and global leaders during this historic week.

But their mission goes far beyond UNGA. Every day, Diplomatic Security works tirelessly to protect America’s people, interests, and values at home and abroad. Even when we’re quiet online, we remain steadfast in our mission.

OFM Chicago hosted a tour of the Chicago Office of Emergency Management & Communications and briefing on OFM's role during emergencies and disaster situations for the Chicago Consular Corps. Joining them were representatives from name and name. Events like these help to ensure that all stakeholders are better prepared to prepare and respond to emergency situations.

OFM Miami hosted a reception to welcome the new U.S. Ambassador to the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), Ms. Stephanie Syptak-Ramnath, with attendees from the South Florida Consular Corps, the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service, and colleagues from the U.S. Department of State.

OFM Houston partnered with several agencies earlier this week to deliver an engaging discussion on a range of foreign mission security topics. The seminar was packed with over 65 foreign mission participants, some of which traveled from McAllen and Austin to attend this Houston event. A big thank you to our federal and local speakers for sharing their time and expertise with our diplomatic community!!
