The new two year budget being advocated by congressional leaders on both sides of the aisle is incredibly fiscally irresponsible. This budget is an immature play by both parties to gain a "victory" in name only. Its provisions will only serve to grow the national debt. For the sake of future generations this budget and other similar measures must be rejected by those in power now.
The proposed budget will raise the debt ceiling and increase government spending by 300 billion dollars in the next two years. Additionally, the budget entails no provisions for the young Dreamers whose lives hang in the balance as DACA approaches its expiration in March.

Perspective | I was a teenage Senate page. The thought of ‘Senator Roy Moore’ makes me sick. A man accused of hitting on children at the mall is not likely to represent the interests of children while in office.

Gen Z PAC is proud to announce our support for Doug Jones in the Alabama Senate Race. Today, we donated money directly to Jones’ campaign and launched an ad campaign. The special election to fill Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ Senate seat will take place December 12th. For ZPAC, the decision to endorse Jones is not a partisan one. Simply put, we at ZPAC believe his opponent, Roy Moore, is not fit for office.
In 2003, Moore was removed from his position as Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court after he refused to comply with a judge’s order to remove a religious monument he commissioned for the state judicial building. He was re-elected in 2012 only to be forced to resign in 2016. His resignation followed a controversial order to lower Alabama courts directing them to ignore the Supreme Court of the United State’s legalization of gay marriage. Just 6 days after his resignation, Moore announced his Senate campaign.
In recent days, 9 women have come forward alleging that Moore sexually assaulted them and/or made romantic advances while they were in their teens and he was in his 30’s. If these allegations are true, it can be inferred that Moore poses a significant threat to young people. Potential colleagues on both side of the aisle have disavowed Moore. Republican Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell called for Moore to drop out of the race last week, saying that he believes the allegations of sexual assault levied against Moore are true. Senator Cory Gardner, who is the head of the Republican Senate campaign committee, threatened Moore with expulsion from the Senate if he is elected. Expulsion does not seem too remote a reality for Moore. The action requires 66 of the 100 Senators to vote in favor of Moore’s removal. The necessity of such an act would be a waste as the deadline for a budget draws closer and an insult to the Senate’s prestigious reputation. Furthermore, Moore should not be allowed to participate in a government whose laws and principles he has consistently flouted.

Following the Las Vegas shooting, Congress is considering methods to ban Bump Stocks. Bump Stocks replace the Stock on a rifle (the part held against the shooter’s shoulder). They harness the energy from the kickback of the rifle to cause trigger to “Bump” against the shooter’s trigger finger repeatedly. The NRA has called for the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, To***co, Fi****ms and Explosives) to implement a regulatory change to ban Bump Stocks. Most Democrats and many Republicans believe that action should be taken by congress directly. Sen. Feinstein has introduced a bill that bans Bump Stocks; she has 24 co-sponsors, all Democrats. In the meantime, sales of Bump Stocks have skyrocketed.

Our hearts are with the victims of the terrible shooting that occurred last night in Nevada. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families and friends. This kind of senseless violence cannot go on in our country.
