On December 8th, 2025 the Multnomah County Deputy Association (MCDSA) delivered approximately 100 toys to Randall Childrenâs Hospital as part of the inaugural MCDSA Toy Drive.
Deputies collected new, unwrapped toys, books, and games. Along with toys, deputies also donated over a dozen sweatshirts to the children at Randall Childrenâs Hospital and their families.
In 2007, Deputy Bohrerâpictured in the middleâwas diagnosed with a rare cancerous tumor called Extraskeletal Chondrosarcoma. Since then, he has remained dedicated to supporting Randall Childrenâs Hospital through fundraisers, toy drives, and serving as a Chemo Pal. Deputy Bohrer is passionate about raising awareness for childhood cancer, and we are grateful for his leadership in this yearâs MCDSA Toy Drive.
The Multnomah County Sheriffâs Office and the
Multnomah County Deputy Sheriffâs Association would like to thank the community and event sponsors, Pro-Cure Bait Scents, Sandy River Marketing, Target, Walmart, and Fred Meyer, who made this event possible.

âď¸Successful Crisis Negotiationâď¸
Last night, an outside agency pursued a vehicle into our jurisdiction due to the driver having multiple felony warrants for his arrest. The vehicle eventually crashed and was located by nearby members of the Transit Police Division. Once the driver was challenged, he drew a firearm and placed it into his mouth, threatening su***de. An on scene member of the Crisis Negotiation Team began a 2.5 hour negotiation with the suspect and ultimately convinced him to peacefully surrender. Due to this deputyâs excellent communication skills, no one was harmed and the suspect was taken to jail.

đ¨ Stolen firearm recovered from juvenile đ¨
Over the weekend, a deputy attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Fairview. The vehicle eluded and was located minutes later abandoned in a parking lot. Three people were quickly walking away from the parking lot. When the deputy attempted to contact this group, one person took off running. The other two individuals admitted to being passengers in the vehicle but âdidnât know who was drivingâ. đ¤¨đ¤Ľ
The deputy chased after the suspect who ran on foot. During the foot pursuit, the suspect ditched his cross body bag which had loose ammo, fake $100 bills, and various drugs inside. A perimeter was set and a dog track commenced which resulted in locating a ditched firearm and the suspect hiding in a gully.
The suspect turned out to be a juvenile and the firearm had been reported as stolen by its rightful owner. The suspect was booked at JDH for an outstanding warrant, Unlawful Poss. of a Firearm, Theft I (Firearm), Escape III, and Interfering with a Police Officer.

âSomeone mustâve put those drugs in my pants!â đŹ
This week, members of the Transit Police Division observed a male selling narcotics on a Max platform in Old Town. The male then boarded the Max, and the deputies intercepted him at the Albina/ Mississippi stop in North Portland. Deputies located bindles of fentanyl powder pre-packaged for sale in his pocket. His response was that someone else snuck these narcotics into his pants without him noticing. In total, he was carrying 63 grams of fentanyl powder, 7g of blue fentanyl pills, 25g of m**h, $547 in cash, and a scale. He was also in possession of the cutest pink đŤ weâve ever seen- take a look!
The male was taken to jail and charged with Felon in Posession of a Firearm, Carrying Concealed, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Controlled Subtance.

This week, some of our members had the honor of attending Police Week in our nationâs capitalâa time of reflection, remembrance, and deep gratitude.
We were truly humbled to be part of such a special week, standing alongside the families, friends, and fellow officers of those who gave everything in the service and protection of others.
May their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication never be forgotten. Their legacy lives on in the hearts of all who continue to serve.
