There's something about a candidate who approaches himself with levity that is really appealing to us. Reminds us of when Reagan said that his opponents' youthful inexperience should not be held against him when Reagan's age was a supposed factor.

But is he ready now? He's an outlier to be sure, but so was Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Einstein and Reagan. Sometimes you need an outlier to advance the interests of the fat part of the bell curve.
