DPHC is the multi-specialty, primary care-based clinic for the Pentagon. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Mackenzie, Louise, Carter, and Josephine.

Our Story

The DiLorenzo TRICARE Health Clinic (DTHC) is located in a unique position at the Department of Defense headquarters. The clinic is an entry point to the military health care system where professional medical staff provide quality care to eligible beneficiaries and emergency medical support to Pentagon employees.

DTHC’s staff of credentialed providers, certified staff, and support personnel ensure patients receive quality medical care in a coordinated, efficient manner.

DiLorenzo provides compassionate, quality outpatient, and preventive medical care to TRICARE beneficiaries and first echelon emergency medical support. DTHC offers clinical services to Active Duty service members and retirees who are enrolled in TRICARE Prime and have Pentagon access.

“We have unique missions in the Pentagon providing additional support to the Pentagon Police, the Washington Headquarters Service, and all occupants of the building,” said DiLorenzo TRICARE Health Clinic’s Director Col. Thomas Rogers, MD. “At the end of the day we are here to provide quality primary care to our Service Members who are ensuring the readiness of the world's preeminent forces.”

DTHC is primarily focused on the medical readiness of warfighters. Medical Readiness is an important part of the deployment process to ensure service members are ready for the tasks they must perform as part of their duties. Medical Readiness is a preventative medicine tool that can help doctors recognize health conditions early to prevent them from developing into potentially life-threatening problems later.

“Quality never happens by accident. It is an intentional and sincere effort which is intelligently planned and skillfully executed,” said Lt. Col. Alicia Madore, the clinic’s director of nursing. “It starts by being mindful, always asking ‘What am I going to do and why?’ It’s the difference between just keeping someone alive versus making them better, [and] getting them one step closer to wellness and health.”

DTHC, which is a branch clinic of Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, also provides programs and tools to help military families cope with unique challenges such as deployment, injuries, and grief. The clinic’s staff consist of highly skilled professionals with many years of experience and qualifications.
