Eye-opening stop to CBP San Diego. At San Ysidro - one of the largest land border crossings in the Western Hemisphere - and at the Southern border, where CBP takes unified approach to immigration, security, customs and agricultural inspection to safeguard the United States. 🇺🇸

The Diplomatic Corps has arrived to ! All week, 35+ Ambassadors will experience the famous sunshine,
innovation and technology of the birthplace of California as we discover the industries of tomorrow.

Our first stop was to Naval Special Warfare Center, for a tour of the grueling 63-week training it takes to become a Navy SEAL.

The Honorable Michael Kratsios, Deputy Assistant to the President for Technology Policy and Deputy U.S. Chief Technology Officer, addressed the Diplomatic Corps on May 1st at the Blair House, the President's Guest House, as part of the State of the Administration Series.

The Chief of Protocol hosted a reception at the Blair House to launch International Cultural Awareness Month. Ambassadors Lawler welcomed Steve Schulman, Executive Director of Cultural Tourism DC to recognize the Diplomatic Corps, sponsors, board members, and staff leaders who make events such a “Passport DC” so globally recognized.

The Honorable Jared Kushner, Assistant to the President and Senior Adviser, addressed the Diplomatic Corps on April 17th at the Blair House, the President's Guest House as part of the State of the Administration Series.

A festive and fun visit to Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, Mississippi’s first children’s museum. In the Mardi Gras spirit, we painted masks, toured this museum and saw a theater show produced by a children’s group. A wonderful way to wrap up our visit to the Hospitality State!

At the Naval Construction Battalion Center, home of the Atlantic Fleet’s Seabee construction and engineering battalions that build military infrastructure and provide disaster relief around the world. Their work is legendary across America: they have helped build the Boulder Dam, New York City’s first skyscrapers and docks. Seabees build not only projects – but build respect and relationships between nations and militaries through humanitarian assistance.
