innovation and technology of the birthplace of California as we discover the industries of tomorrow.
Our first stop was to Naval Special Warfare Center, for a tour of the grueling 63-week training it takes to become a Navy SEAL.

Ambassadors Lawler welcomed Steve Schulman, Executive Director of Cultural Tourism DC to recognize the Diplomatic Corps, sponsors, board members, and staff leaders who make events such a “Passport DC” so globally recognized.

A festive and fun visit to Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, Mississippi’s first children’s museum. In the Mardi Gras spirit, we painted masks, toured this museum and saw a theater show produced by a children’s group. A wonderful way to wrap up our visit to the Hospitality State!

At the Naval Construction Battalion Center, home of the Atlantic Fleet’s Seabee construction and engineering battalions that build military infrastructure and provide disaster relief around the world. Their work is legendary across America: they have helped build the Boulder Dam, New York City’s first skyscrapers and docks. Seabees build not only projects – but build respect and relationships between nations and militaries through humanitarian assistance.
