🪖 The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting took place in Washington this week, with 40,000+ attendees, 750+ exhibitors, and 90+ countries represented.

The AUSA Annual Meeting is more than just a trade show. It's a strategic platform that connects military leaders, industry innovators, policymakers, and international delegations.

Multiple German companies were represented, a reminder of how closely German and American defense industries work together. Keep an eye out for German-American cooperation, not only in military operations but also in the defense industry! 🇩🇪🤝🇺🇸

🛡️ LtGen Heico Huebner, Vice Chief of the German Army, was the highest visiting German Representative, with further colleagues from the Bundeswehr Office for Defense Planning, and the Army Concepts and Capabilities Development Center present.

Last weekend, the 18th annual conference took place under the theme “Rethinking Transatlanticism,” with our Science Counselor in attendance. More than 100 speakers and 1,000 participants came together to discuss security, economy, technology, and democracy, with policymakers, business leaders, and academics meeting students in panels, workshops, and keynotes.

Why does this matter? Because our strong German-American partnership is built on people who talk to each other, challenge each other, and find solutions together. This conference gives the next generation a seat at the table.

A big step for Team Luftwaffe!

This week, 🇩🇪's first F-35, aircraft 35+01, was handed over to the first German Air Force training squadron.

The first German pilots and crews will now train on this modern aircraft, working closely with our American partners.

Fifth-generation fighter training will soon be up and running, exactly on schedule. It will prepare the women and men of Team Luftwaffe, to introduce this low-observable aircraft with its high-performance sensors and advanced data-link capability. Today we say thank you to them, and to everyone on both sides of the Atlantic who made this possible. Together, we are making our NATO Alliance stronger.
