Kudos to police in Vietnam 🇻🇳 and Cambodia 🇰🇭 for disrupting an online scam operation (OSO) in Cambodia that defrauded Vietnamese citizens out of more than $12M. In 2024 alone, cyber scams originating in SE Asia cost Americans an estimated $10B. In September, SBO Landberg and Viatnamese counterparts discussed how to build regional cooperation to take down OSOs at the U.S.-Vietnam Law Enforcement and Security Dialogue - leading to an immediate impact. INL is proud to partner with the FBI and to train Vietnamese police in financial fraud investigative skills. 🚔🚨📝✔️💰💻

Stopping the flow of fentanyl and its precursors into the United States is one of our highest priorities. We have revoked visas for company executives and family for the unlawful involvement in controlled substance trafficking, including fentanyl. Those who facilitate the flow of illicit drugs into our country will not gain access to it. We thank our counterparts in the Government of India for their continued cooperation in addressing this transnational threat.
