The NAPABA Law Foundation (NLF) announced today that three exceptional second-year law students have been awarded SAIL Scholarships for their outstanding professional promise and leadership potential.

-Heajune (June) Lee, Harvard Law School

Today, NAPABA celebrates the 60th Anniversary of the Voting Rights Act. The landmark legislation outlawed discriminatory voting practices, like literacy tests, as a prerequisite to voting. The right to vote is critical to exercising our voices in democracy. NAPABA will continue to safeguard this right for the AANHPI community and beyond.

Today marks the 77th anniversary of Executive Order 9981, which ended segregation in the Armed Forces. Signed by President Harry S. Truman, the EO mandated that all persons in the military, regardless of race, color, religion, or national origin, be treated equally. NAPABA remains committed to equality, and we will continue to push for equal treatment for all people in all spaces.
