Hello Eckles squad! We are closed this week and next week to do a little beginning of summer work. We will reopen Monday-Friday 9-5 starting on June 5 and going at least until June 30. Stay tuned here for our July and August hours!

Congratulations to the winners of the 2016 Eckles Prize for Research Excellence!
This annual prize recognizes students who produce a research project in their freshman year that demonstrates significant and meaningful use of library services and collections at the George Washington University. This year it was especially difficult to choose the winner as we received almost 70 entries - the most we've ever had! Thank you to all who submitted and to our esteemed judges!

The Eckles Prize for Freshman Research Excellence | GW Libraries GW Libraries at the George Washington University, including the Gelman Library on the Foggy Bottom Campus, Eckles Library at Mount Vernon Campus, and the Virginia Science and Technology Campus Library

Eckles has had the privilege of hosting 22 remarkable middle school girls at the GenCyber summer camp these last two weeks. They are receiving hands-on experience in cybersecurity, network engineering, cryptography, analysis, forensics, and more! Today they investigated a mock crime scene and processed the evidence themselves to solve the case!

Our Summer Hours begin tomorrow, May 11th. We will be open from 9:00-5:00 until Fall semester begins on Sunday, August 28th! Come see us!

Eckles will be open 24 Hours for finals starting at 8:00am on Thursday, April 28th and ending at 8:00pm on Friday, May 6th.

Coffee, Cappuccino, and Hot Chocolate will be free, and popcorn will be served starting at 10:00pm every night!

On May 1st, we will offer a Late Night Snack from 9:00 to midnight: PB&J, hummus, fresh fruit, and more! Come get some brain food!
