Happy Summer from OAH! In the spirit of fun, warmth, and community that the summer season brings, we ask you to join us in donating to this month's donation drive. Which will now take place on August 9th at 57 O Street NW from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.!
Appropriate donations include (unused and new items
only):
Sponges
Laundry detergent
Dishwashing liquid
All purpose cleaner
Candles
Window cleaner
Rubber gloves
Paper towels
Air fresheners

A Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments annual count shows a decline in regional homelessness. The District of Columbia had the largest decrease in homelessness from 2024 to 2025, down 478 people (9 percent), followed by Loudoun County with 51 fewer people (17 percent).
