App helps children in foster care understand their rights | CNN 05/18/2026

May is National Foster Care Month — a time to raise awareness and the challenges faced in the foster care system. Many young people in foster care often are unaware of the protections available to them.

Our Fellow Alum, Taylor Sartor is changing this through her app, FosterPower, an app for children in foster care to find information on their rights and benefits.

Taylor's work to help children in foster care understand their legal rights is a powerful reminder of what public interest law can do for communities that face barriers when accessing legal aid.
