INTENSIFYING PROMOTIONAL PROGRAMS FOR MALAYSIA MSME AGROPRODUCTS IN THE NORTH AMERICA MARKET
February 25th, 2025

Yesterday the Office hosted a coordination meeting with Export Management Companies (EMC) based in North America to further starategise the promotional programs for 2025. The initial discussion been conducted in July 2024.

Include in the planning is to bring in more SKUs into the physical and e-commerce stores in the States. Approaches such as industry engagement sessions, capacity building and in-store promotion will be pivoting the initiative this year.

The office also looking to explore another potential in the Latin America country this year to widen and diversify the marker for Malaysian agropenuers.

TASTE OF MALAYSIA: COCONUT CONFLUENCE 2025
January 16th, 2025 (Thursday)

The Agriculture Counselor’s Office Washington, D.C. collaborating with MALAWAKIL Washington, D.C. and PERWAKILAN Washington, D.C. to hosted the Coconut Confluence 2025. The objective of the event is to promote Malaysian initiatives to conduct sustainable coconut industry both domestically and internationally, and at the same time introducing Malaysia coconut-based agroproducts and cuisines.

The event was attended by 100 guests from diverse background including Ambassadors from Latin America countries, diplomatic core and coconut-related industry players based in Washington, D.C.

TASTE OF MALAYSIA: WEST COAST EDITION
Pasadena, Los Angelas, United States of America

On November 7th, 2024 the Agriculture Counselor’s Office, Embassy of Malaysia Washington, DC with Malaysian Export Management Companies( EMC) North America and EZ Halal Meat and Groceries Market, Pasadena, LA hosted the Taste of Malaysia (TOM) Express Concept Store: West Coast Edition.

The event was officiated by H.E. Ambassador Of Malaysia to United States of America and spouse, along side with the Consular General Malaysia in Los Angeles. The event had successfully attracted more than 50 guests from the local authorities, community banks, Malaysia diaspora and retailers/ distributors.

The event aimed to promote more than 30 of Malaysian Agroproducts out of 100 SKUs thats already in the North America market and supported by renowned brand such as Yeo’s, CNI Coffee and Boh Tea. This promotional event will last for three (3) months at the store and potentially to be expended to several others, including in Torrance.

The Ministry welcomes continuous support from the Embassy, Consular General, associations and strategic partners to enhance promoting Malaysia agrofood brands in the United States of America.

TASTE OF MALAYSIA: MEXICO CITY EDITION
November 30th, 2024
Official Residence H.E. Ambassador of Malaysia to Mexico

ACOWDC had successfully implemented the In-Store Promotion Taste of Malaysia: Mexico City Edition. The event was a collaboration with MALAWAKIL Mexico City, MATRADE Mexico City and PERWAKILAN Mexico City.

The event was attanded by more than 200 guests from the diplomatic core, Malaysian diaspora in Mexico City, Malaysia entrepenuaers operating in Mexico City and others.

During the event, ACOWDC had successfully promoted Malaysian Durian from various variety such as Musang King, Red Prawn and Black Thorn and also chempedak and J33 jackfruit distributed by The Year of Durian from San Francisco, USA.

The office had also taken the opportunity to promote Malaysia agrofoods that currently available in the North America market.

Come and Join Us: TOM Xpress Concept Store

Presenting the very first Taste of Malaysia (TOM) Xpress Concept Store in East Coast of United States of America. This initiative is a joint collaboration between ACOWDC and Ai Mart College Point Supermarket, Enescorp International LLC, Ixora Food LLC and Amerasia.

The promotional activity will be from September 15th showcasing more than 25 agroproducts from Malaysia aimed to create awareness, demand and introducing new Malaysia products into physical stores after encouraging success in the North America e-commerce platform.

During this period, there will a lot of exciting activities such as cooking demonstations, product introduction session and business matching.
