An incredible semester with our Spring 2026 Fellows has come to an end! Thank you for sharing your time, expertise, and mentorship with students and filling the Living Room with lively discussions — and surprise guests!— all semester. We want to say a huge thank you to them for making this semester so special.
Mehdi, Stephen, Julia, Monica, Senator Tester, and Richard brought their expertise, nuanced discussion topics, and clarity over confusing political moments to the Hilltop and Capitol Campuses and provided valuable opportunities for Hoyas to learn and explore beyond campus.
To our Spring 2026 Student Strategy Team members — thank you for all the support you offered our fellows this semester. It is your engagement that makes this program happen. We look forward to seeing you back in the living room next fall!
To our Spring 2026 Fellows — we are so thankful for the time, leadership, and insight you shared this semester. As always, we’ll miss seeing this class of Fellows on the Hilltop, but know that you are forever members of the GU Politics community. 💙

As GU Politics moves into a new era with expanded programming on the Capitol Campus, we’re excited to announce the formation of its newest student leadership group - the Capitol Campus Student Advisory Board (CCSAB).
Like its companion group on the Hilltop, the CCSAB helps inform GU Politics programming for students on the Capitol Campus. Consisting exclusively of both undergraduate and graduate McCourt students, they advise staff, helping us to remain connected to the unique needs of their Cap Campus peers and help expand our reach by marketing involvement opportunities to new student populations.
CCSAB members will gain valuable leadership experience, receiving exclusive access to our programming, and assist GU Politics staff in their commitment to helping students reimagine politics and public service. This group meets regularly throughout the semester, and will stay closely connected with their peers on the Hilltop Student Advisory Board.
Applications are due Sunday, April 19 at 11:59 PM. Learn more about the roles and apply here: https://forms.gle/tFbUf55GC1NRnmz28

At age 34, Erika Uyterhoeven ran for and won a seat in the Massachusetts state legislature in 2020. A three-term legislator, she’s currently the only DSA-endorsed state legislator in the state, the youngest state rep in Massachusetts, and a longtime advocate for government transparency. On Monday, she came to McCourt to speak with Georgetown students about running for public office at a young age and how state government actually works. Thank you so much for joining us!
