DC's International Women's Alliance (DIWA) would like to invite you to our Meet & Greet on Saturday, February 11th at 4:30pm at the Black Workers Center. For location information and safety protocols regarding COVID-19, please see the attached flier.

We hope you can join us to also share updates from your organization and to learn more about the International Women's Alliance. The International Women's Alliance (IWA) will be hosting a two day political conference on March 4-5 united under the call: Rouse the militant women’s movement to action! Unite working women to confront the crisis and fight U.S. imperialism! This is an opportunity for organizations to deepen and unite on our analysis of the situation of women in the US, and how it relates to women around the world, to share tactics and strategies across issue areas, to unite on a campaign to carry forward in our respective regions and to build the women's movement in the US by joining IWA!

DC International Womxn’s Alliance (DIWA) opposes the “recovery” agenda of the World Bank and IMF!

Today, on October 15, 2021, the World Bank and International Monetary Fund is hosting its annual meeting in Washington DC in an attempt to address the global economic crisis during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

As an alliance of grassroots organizations, we recognize these loan-lender meetings are only an opportunity for monopoly and finance capitalists to secure their profitable interests in under developed nations. The wealthiest private entities will promote projects to steal the land, plunder resources, raw materials, and labor from some of the poorest countries while drowning out the local economies.

DIWA joins the Global Day of Action to from the IMF-WBG’s greed! We call on people’s organizations, movements, and civil society to join this day of action against the profit-oriented agenda.
