Congratulations to Scotland High School head football coach Richard Bailey on receiving the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, one of North Carolina’s highest civilian honors!

Throughout his 36-year career, Coach Bailey has led his teams to multiple state championship appearances, but most importantly, he has made a lasting impact on generations of student-athletes.

Thank you, Coach Bailey, for your dedication to our students and the Scotland County community. This is a well-deserved honor!

LAURINBURG —Scotland County Schools celebrated Scotland football head coach Richard Bailey on Friday night as he received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, a prestigious honor bestowed by the governor…

I stand with ICE and commend Secretary Markwayne Mullin for his leadership in getting illegal aliens off our streets.

Sanctuary-city politicians like Governor Kathy Hochul and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani care more about protecting criminals, including gang members, rapists, murderers, and child predators, than the victims and innocent children they harmed.

The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released the following statement highlighting the worst illegal aliens that have been arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Syracuse, New York, with criminal histories that include sexual exploitation of a minor, sexual....

Congratulations to Keith Sonderling on being sworn in as Secretary of Labor!

I have no doubt he will do a tremendous job carrying out President Trump’s agenda and putting American workers first.

The price of diesel impacts everything from the farm to the dinner table.

President Trump’s move to allow on-road use of red diesel will provide much-needed relief for North Carolina farmers, truckers, and workers. That’s 24.4 cents per gallon, or about $60 in savings on a 250-gallon tank.

Powerful sentiments from Secretary Rubio.

From mass migration and the erosion of national sovereignty to threats against our constitutional system and classrooms that teach children to be ashamed of our nation's history, the Left has put our country's future at stake.

Western civilization is under attack, and it's our duty to defend it.

Hurricane Helene devastated communities across North Carolina, and it's despicable that anyone would steal disaster assistance intended for families who need it most during recovery.

Despite Democrats' reluctance to acknowledge fraud in government programs, I'm thankful FEMA is holding these criminals accountable.

Chemical abortions are unsafe for the mother and lethal for the baby. Further delays are unacceptable and will result in the deaths of an additional 90,000 unborn children in pro-life states.

We have a moral duty to protect the lives of the most vulnerable, and amid the continued absence of critical safeguards, Congress must pass my Teleabortion Prevention Act.

My bill would crack down on mail-order abortions by requiring in-person medical care before, during, and after a chemical abortion.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) won’t publish its safety review of the abortion drug mifepristone until March, it disclosed in a Wednesday court filing, adding that it won’t impose any new r…

Great to visit Edwards Wood Products Transportation in Marshville!

I had the opportunity to tour this family-owned business, meet with local truck drivers, and sit down with trucking industry leaders to discuss the challenges they face and what Congress can do to better support them.

North Carolina’s trucking industry plays a critical role in keeping our economy moving, and I appreciate the Edwards team and the North Carolina Trucking Association for having me.

My statement on the third anniversary of the October 7th terrorist attacks:

10/07/2026

Today marks three years since the horrific October 7 terrorist attacks on Israel. We must never forget the nearly 1,200 innocent civilians who were brutally murdered by Hamas and the 251 people who were taken hostage.

Since that day, we have seen a disturbing rise in antisemitism here at home. We must continue working to ensure Jewish students feel safe on their college campuses and to confront this hatred across our country.
