Our kids can’t learn, play, and lead healthy lives without nutritious meals or healthcare. While Republicans have stolen food from kids and made healthcare unaffordable, community organizations like Choose Healthy Life are stepping up to meet people where they’re at.

Together, we need to make serious investments so our kids can grow up strong and be prepared to tackle the issues that our world faces. I won’t stop working until every family has a path to an affordable and healthy life.

My Sorors are showing what it means to be community conscious and action oriented. I met with my sisters from Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated to talk about how we can end the Black maternal mortality crisis.

I founded the Congressional Mamas’ Caucus because I know our Black mamas are too often excluded from the conversations that impact us most. Together, we can save Black mamas 💙🤍.

ICE killed another man. His name is Mario David Coronado Juarez. He worked and lived in Michigan for 7 years as a construction worker, sending money home to his kids in Guatemala. ICE pursued him in an unmarked car, causing a fatal car crash. Because of ICE’s violent actions, a hardworking father won’t see his kids grow up.

These killings have to stop. ICE must be abolished.

Born and raised in Southwest Detroit, I know the rich and beautiful history of our city. I also know the challenges many of our families face. I was proud to meet with Detroit Mayor Mary Sheffield to discuss how my office can partner with her to help our families gain access to home repair grants and more.

313 is at the People's House. So thankful for all who are here to ensure Black communities and voices are helping transform our country. Your existence here in the halls of Congress is resisting the status quo that is hurting our families. You are helping change that this week.

Water Warriors from Michigan came to DC to declare: clean water is a human right. For far too long, huge corporations and billionaires have polluted our water & wrecked our health just to make more money.

Congress must pass my Water Access and Affordability Act now to stop water shutoffs and invest in clean water.

Instead of listening to people’s demands to get rid of AI data centers, last night, Congress passed the Ratepayer “Deception” Act and went home.

Congress needs to get real. It’s time to pass a national AI data center moratorium and my No AI Data Centers on Federal Lands Act.
